About Ursus Online and Bears Customs. This page tells you about Ursus and Bears Customs and how they came about. The Story So Far:-   Bears Customs is run and owned by Steve & his wife Jan. The Company was set up in Steve's imagination over 20 years ago after he had started riding Harleys 2 years before. Steve has owned many custom bikes usually built on a low budget and noticed that it was hard to find good service and parts at a good price and that good second-hand Harley parts were also scarce. After working for the Post Office for 15 years, his dream has now become a reality. Steve suffers from two dibilitating deseases called Lupus and Polyarteritis Nodosa with many complications so had to retire. He knew then what he wanted to do. "After being diagnosed at the young age of 38 it helps to put your life in perspective. I want to succeed and we value your custom" Steve has owned 2 Triumphs, 1 a chop, an XV750, a Honda 750 chop, a 400/4, a Sportster, a Softail, a Shovelhead and is now the proud owner of a custom Wide Glide.     Chapter 2 After the success of the online shop it was decided in December 2003 to open a retail outlet. This outlet is called Bears Customs, located in Ruthin North Wales opened in mid March 2004. Chapter 3 After spending 4 and a bit years at Ruthin, we decided that we needed more space and to expand our business by having our own workshop. This opened in October 2008.
